Obsidian Vault Skills for Claude Code
19 slash commands that turn Claude Code into an intelligent layer on your Obsidian vault: daily context, inbox clearing, idea resurfacing, honest weekly reviews.
My verdict: These run my actual day. /ob-context in the morning, /ob-closeday at night, and /ob-resurface has saved ideas I had completely forgotten writing.
What it is
A complete set of 19 slash commands that read, analyse, and write to your Obsidian vault: surfacing patterns, clearing backlogs, challenging assumptions, and keeping you honest about what you are actually doing versus what you planned.
The quick map:
| Situation | Skill |
|---|---|
| Start of day | /ob-context then /ob-today |
| End of day | /ob-closeday |
| End of week | /ob-weekreview |
| Before a call | /ob-prep [name] |
| Inbox piling up | /ob-inbox |
| Looking for old relevant notes | /ob-resurface |
| Stress-testing an idea | /ob-challenge [topic] |
| Writing in your own voice | /ob-ghost [question] |
Eleven more cover pruning, backlog triage, idea generation, pattern drift, and graduating notes into permanent knowledge.
Who it is for
Anyone with an Obsidian vault that has become a write-only archive. The notes go in; nothing comes back out. These commands make the vault answer back.
Setup outline
- Copy each skill into
~/.claude/commands/(or hand the whole pack to Claude Code and let it install and configure them for your vault path). - Set your vault name and path in each skill’s setup block.
- The skills assume a simple folder structure (ops, inbox, knowledge, people); the pack documents it and adapts if yours differs.
