Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 August 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains what personal data ajsilvers.com (the "Site") collects, why, and what your rights are. Short version: the only personal data I ask for is your email address, and only when you choose to give it.
2. What I collect and why
Email address. When you opt in to the newsletter or request a free resource, your email address — together with the source and resource name — is stored so I can deliver what you asked for and send you the newsletter. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
Cookies. After you opt in, the Site sets a single first-party cookie so previously unlocked resources stay unlocked on your device for up to one year. It contains no tracking identifiers and is not shared with anyone. The Site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Server logs. The Site's hosting provider may log basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operations.
3. Who processes your data
The Site is hosted on Netlify. Email addresses are stored and newsletters sent via Engage, an email service provider acting as a processor on my behalf. I don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
4. How long I keep it
Your email address is kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Unsubscribing stops all emails; you can additionally request full deletion at any time.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data I hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, reply to any newsletter email or use the contact options on the About page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6. Children
The Site is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
7. Changes
I may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the current version.
